Best University of Cordoba students in sports
Over 6000 registered users voted for one of the almost 150 sportmen and sportwomen from the University of Cordoba appointed by their own University mates in a contest designed for promoting the European Universities Games, to be held next summer.
71 male and 77 female students biddings were submitted through the website www.descubrealmasdeportistadelauco.com, which received almost 15000 visits in less than two months since the contest was announced by the Students Council of the University. The only requests were to be actually studying in the University and featuring any kind of sport activity.
Andres Muñoz Cuenca, (833 votes received) and Sara López Montes (395), both brilliant taekwondonians, received the award last Monday from Prof. Mr. Manuel Torres Aguilar, Vicerector of the University of Cordoba and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the European Universities Games.
